My travel in NY By Jose Armando Meza

In January of this year, I went to NY with my mom and a mom´s friend, and although it was a new experience, I did not get to enjoy it very much for several reasons, some of them was the fact that it was winter, so It was very cold, and many places were closed. Something that caught my attention was there nightfall at 5, so they closed early, you could not take advantage of everything like that.

We arrived at night and the first thing that happened when we arrived, was that we got lost in the subway, because we were to the other side of the city, the worst thing was that we were very tired for the trip so we had to ask for help from a friendly person that we met, who told us how to get there. We stayed in a hotel in Chinatown, it was nice, it was in a building where there were restaurants, and as a little mall, it was interesting, I had never seen a hotel like it.

The food that can be found everywhere is hot dogs, it's as if it were their traditional food, like in Mexico tacos. And there are also a lot of Dunkin Donuts, something good, because with so much cold, it was nice to end the day with a coffee and a donut. Yes, everything was very expensive for us.
Something that already has the United States, is the large number of immigrants over there, so it was not unusual to find Spanish speakers there, and that benefited us a lot, since we made friends and met new people, it's a good thing to be a Jehovah's Witness, so we could enjoy good company and be able to know how is the Arabic language. But the bad part of that, is that I could not practice my English, because I never had the opportunity to speak the language well

We visited places like the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center, Central Park and the World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses, it was a great experience, so I really recommend you visit NY, but not in winter, that is the worst time to go, you will not be able to enjoy the experience as good as is. See you next in my next travel, bye.
